What is FKN?
Section titled “What is FKN?”FKN is a privacy-first platform that extends what web applications can do, far beyond the browser’s defaults. Apps consume one library, @fkn/lib. Users stay in control: every sensitive capability is gated behind an explicit, per-app, per-capability permission prompt, and every use is recorded in an on-device activity log.
Session relay
With the user’s permission, act as their already-logged-in session on a site they choose. No passwords handled, no data leaving their device to FKN.
Real networking
TCP and UDP sockets in the browser over WebTransport, HTTP proxying, and DNS resolution. Cloud-hosted by FKN or self-hosted on the user’s own machine.
User-owned by design
No tracking, no analytics, no silent access. The cloud is an option, not a requirement.
